Pittsburgh and West Virginia Railroad Company collection of papers, 1902-1942.

The Pittsburgh and West Virginia Railroad Company Collection of Papers provides limited correspondence, internal documents, and governmental documents during the late 1920s about the Connellsville Extension, the Pittsburgh and West Virginia Railroad. Many documents are about the 1927 petitions for a Connellsville Extension, which ran from Cochran's Mill to Connellsville in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. Railways, such as New York, Chicago and St. Louis Railroad Compnay, petitioned to the government to deny the extension.
